Alrighty then, got a new comic up for Easter. However, I gotta comment on the, well, host of the Easter comic. You haven't met him yet (considering we have only met four characters so far, one of them being on a phone) and you won't be meeting him in a while. I will likely not illustrate the comic like I did with him either, until I learn a quicker way to color on the computer. That takes way to long. And it still doesn't look nearly as impressive as some artwork I've seen. I think I need to take tips or lessons or something because I'm just not getting it.

Anyway, hopefully I won't come across as sacrilegious or anything, considering it's Easter and everything. Nothing quite like a homicidal rabbit to bring about the Easter spirit.

In the meantime, anyone kind enough to give me pointers on coloring on the computer? I already don't have a life, no use wasting however long trying to color one comic strip. But this did help me a lot, I guess you live and learn. At least, that's what I've learned from life.

I will hopefully have a comic up on Monday. The quote is semi-religious, in the holiday spirit *snickers*.

Earlier

Alright, comic's back up, after a crazy and hectic time of getting a scanner up and running. I went out and splurged on a halfway decent one, compared to the POS I bought with the computer. I like my new scanner, now that I have figured out how it works. It will be really good for some of my later comics, can't wait!

In the meantime, latest comic is up for the 29th, next update will be on Easter Sunday, a bit of a change of pace to celebrate the holiday. I haven't done this yet, but I noticed quite a few comics do something to celebrate holidays, so I thought I would try.

After that, next comic should be up Monday. I'm also superly excited by my new scanner! It's not shabby at all, pictures come out crystal clear! I just gotta sit down and play with it more to figure it out. Just me, the scanner, and a decent computer. As soon as I get this computer paid off, I think I might go about replacing it. Or get it formatted, or something. THere is so much junk on this thing that I never us But that won't be for a while. For now, the computer works. To an extent.

But enough of my ramblings.

Luck is running, as usual. Something went wierd with my computer, so I basically undid everything and replugged it all back into the back of the computer.

Luck be have it, I yanked the USB port out and the connector part disconnected with the cable. In other words, no scanner. Hmm.

I guess this is an excuse to invest in another, higher quality scanner. In the meantime, I will have no new comics until this situation is resolved.

*sighs* Life is lovely, isn't it?

March 28, 2002

Alright, this one is going up as a Tuesday comic, mainly because I have one ready for tomorrow. This was originally a two part comic but it works ok on its own.

I don't know, I think I would feel very uncomfortable holding a conversation with somebody on the phone and having two strange creatures listening intently into every word I say.

Next comic is up for tomorrow.

March 27, 2002

Hmm, ok. I made it back safe and sound from my trip, but I don't have a comic to put up yet. I gotta give myself about an additional hour to do one.

In the meantime, webcomic is not updated, and I don't know when it will be updated. Hopefully I can do a little backtracking and get two up for this week. So for certain I should have a new one up on Friday at the latest, or maybe halfway through Thursday.

But good news! I didn't hopelessly fail out of all my classes like I thought I was going to do! I actually passed with decent grades!

"So, where did you get the name Risawn, anyway?"
"Well, actually, there's a long story behind my name."
"Really? Tell us."
"You see, I wrote this long story, and Risawn happens to be one of the characters."

March 21, 2002

Ok, I'll make this short and quick. The comic is up for tomorrow, however, I won't have an update until next wednesday or so. I'm going out of town on a much needed trip to see my family which I haven't seen for so long. I have a comic to go up for Monday but it needs a lot of work to be ready for Monday, but it's not near finished, and its on a different scale then the current story is.

And I apologize for the shoddy appearance. I'll work on making the text boxes bigger. I didn't realize they were going to scan so small. Well, you live and learn, and its to late to change the current comic.

As I said, the comic goes on a slight change of topic regarding the conversation between Todd and his mom. The reason for it will be obvious in about, oh, a couple of years. If I keep a steady pace with the comic that is.

Now I'm going to get ready to go on a 1200 mile road trip tonight. *yays*

Boy, that was actually rather quick! I was doing some things with my scanner that were unrelated to Creature and I managed to change the settings, so the picture isn't as clear as it had been before. Unfortunately. Although it doesn't look quite as nice as the original drawing, I have to say that I love Creature's expression in the fourth panel. And that is a perfect depiction of the relationship between creature and splash.

Anyway, as I said before, this is a regular week, although I might have two more up for this week, depending on how much time I allow myself *smiles*

March 19, 2002

Ok, I'm on top of things again. *yays* This comic was originally a two parter that actually works well as two seperate comics, so I did it that way instead. It goes a little off the subject, so please bare with it.

Also, I would greatly appreciate some input on the comic. I'm doing it regardless of whether or not I have any readers, more for myself if anything. However, if anyone wants to give me some comments, positive or negative, please do so. I'm a great sport and don't take things to personally. After all, I am in the Army.

Anyway, thanks again! Next comic will be up tomorrow, and then they will be very steady from that point on. Or at least they should be. This is a regular week.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day.

For all of you nice people who are actually following the story line, I'm a bit tardy. But honest, I'll try to do better! I will have a new comic up soon, and for those of you who are getting bored of the same kind of story line, I'll hopefully get a little detour up, if I can get around to doing one. But I don't have to go to school this week *yays!*

As for the current comic (which is dated March 14, just to keep previous comics on more of a steadier pattern *laughs*) if you don't get the joke, don't feel bad. Creature and Splash don't get it either.

March 11, 2002

This week has been officially upgraded to a extreme stress week, in other words its the last week of the quarter, I have three really big assignments to get done, two tests to study for, like 20 fitness workouts I need to squeeze in somewhere, and I'm working an 8 hour shift that has turned into a really big inconvienence through my work. The basic art for the next comic is done, however I don't have any time to finish and color it without it looking like a horrible mess, something I'm trying to avoid, btw.

Anyway, it being the end of this school quarter, I apologize, I will hopefully be up to speed next week. Next comic will be up when I can get it done.

March 9. 2002

I sure am on a roll, aren't I? Well, after this next week I should be on top of things and I promise the next comic (monday) will be on time.

This comic pretty much shows how innocent and naive creature really is. That's kind of the point. I know this has been done a million times before, playing off cultural differences I mean, but for a while it might be kind of fun. If you can't tell in the first panel, Creature has his eye on that Mountain Dew bottle and not really paying attention to much else.

And by the way, Creature and Splash never needed to eat or drink while in the Vortron. In the Vortron the body takes on an immortal state. Time simply does not really exist as we know it there.

Now the question arises, what's up with Todd? That will be answered here shortly.

I promise, next comic will be up on Monday. Comic might take a couple different looks then as well. As stated before, Todd's reality is somewhat of a lab rat world, and Todd's the lab rat.

March 6, 2002

Another late comic. Although it's nearly 8 pst I'm going to go ahead and put this one up today. The next comic will either be up Friday or Saterday. I'm not sure which at this time.

I also consider this story line of the comic the lab-rat comic. In other words, I'm trying different techniques. Todd's kind of the lab rat, I'm not that good at making cartoonish people, but hopefully this will see some improvements. I might have a slight change of pace coming up soon, either the next comic or following, but just a slight detour. These will come up now and again, when they appear, you'll note their purpose, however small they are.

Other then that, not much else going on. This weekend might see some more additions to the webpage, but nothing major.

March 4, 2002

Alright, the comic's up late for Monday, but I went ahead and made it a Monday comic because the current story line (if you haven't noticed, it's got a story line) is a doozy of one, and so it doesn't drag on for half the year and I can tell it within the next three weeks, i want to get it over with. So I'll be working for at least 3 if not 4 a week. So that's the goal, if I can stay on top of it. Of course, there is a problem. Finals are approaching.

Promising news, Creature was featured on Espudd! Go check it out!

And due to technical errors, Bravenet (the people who do my counter and my guestbook) is down so no guestbook available *sighs*

Anyway, I haven't been updating prior to this because FTP was down. If this is to happen again, I will always keep updates in the forum.

Anyway, I'm hoping that every thing will be on schedule, since I don't really have to worry about the story line, got it planned out for the next millenia actually. And another thing, if you haven't been able to tell already, this is more of a ongoing story then anything else, but I tend to have some one liners in there at times, ones where you don't have to read the entire strip to get the joke (or maybe just a little bit of the strip).

Oh well, I'm just doing this for Kicks and Giggles anyway.

I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it.

Very true, wish I could see the worth.
